I used liquid gra...Try masking them out ... first. I used liquid graphite on this one, so it can be done. after it's all fixed into place, use white acrylic paint . I tone down the acrylic paint with anything from my left-over paints on the pallet, otherwise the white would be stark. The less white blades of grass I achieved by applying a very light wash of the liquid graphite.... then of course there are the regular pencil work.especially in the rock outlines. I even accentuated the dark areas of the pines that show behind some of the blades of grass by using a regular pencil and filling in some dark areas between the various blades of weeds. I struggle with that and have tried a number of things but am never satisfied with my end result.
