1 . 21 . 2017 .... I'm typically a more conventional Landscape Artist, but lately I've been moving towards a form of Abstract Landscapes ....  This one is watercolor on heavily gesso textured Arches' #300 paper.  Size is 7 1/2" x 8" in a 3 1/2" off-white mat...

One of my small sketches using liquid graphite (Sepia Toned) and Watercolor on Gesso'd #300 Arches' rough paper  ...5 1/2" x 7 1/4" in a 3" French cut mat..  Also shown below with an additional double mat configuration added which makes it a triple mat with the inner mat having a "V" cut. A different mat set-up from my norm, but I think I like it on this small painting...  I just had the extra colored mat lying around and was curious on how it would look...
